Mitchell Bakst
Personal Coach, Senior Producer
I’m a firm believer in the power of the individual, that one person with clear purpose and vision, aligned with their true self, is more powerful than a million who are not. The "little individual" can change the world. I've seen it and lived it in my own life.
As a volunteer community leader and then national staff leader for The Hunger Project (THP), I co-founded the national network of teachers and students, called Youth Ending Hunger. I also coached volunteer communities across the country and went on to become program director for the organization's Africa Initiatives in the U.S. My work was recognized by my inclusion in Who's Who Among Young American Professionals in 1991.
I began my exploration of spiritual life as a high school student with the study of Transcendental Meditation, which I practiced through college and graduate school. I was introduced to the Siddha Yoga tradition in 1989 and I have since explored many other forms of meditation, too. I have come to appreciate the traditions and teachings of many great beings who have come to help humanity achieve its highest good.
In the 1990s I co-founded two organizations - Echo of the Heart and Men’s Inner Journey - both devoted to the empowerment and transformation of men.
In subsequent years I have gained extensive experience in corporate America, as well, working as a producer and senior manager with creative teams in marketing and communications.
My spiritual journey has continued and strengthened over these decades and is the bedrock of the experience and knowledge I bring to working with clients.
I am a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach and Certified Transformative Coach.
